JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESUtilize improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN & Six Sigma) and related skills to present, facilitate and lead end-to-end process improvement events.Drive teams to re-design processes to be more efficient and effective.Engage Entergy Shared Services (ESS) departments as an internal consultant and advisor to help uncover opportunities to improve processes.Develop strong working relationships with operational teams and act as a resource to investigate and eliminate waste from their day-to-day work processes.Lead and coordinate problem-solving activities that include defining problem statements, determining root causes, establishing goals and proposing solutions in the development of process improvement charters.Work with an analytics resource to help use data and information to uncover opportunities to improve processes and use this information to support improvement proposals to departments within shared services.Design high-level project plans that include activities identified during process improvement activities (interviews, value stream mapping workshops, etc.) to improve processes.Work with project managers to seamlessly hand-off these high level plans so that they may be executed.Work with other process improvement professionals to support the development of a process improvement Center of Excellence including training, methodologies, and tools.Support the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between service owners and internal customers.Conduct benchmarking activities that compare performance of SLAs to various industry benchmarks.Facilitate a workgroup composed of internal customers and ESS leadership to further identify opportunities to improve the cost and quality of ESS business processes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum education required of the positionBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum experience required of the position2-3 years of experience with process improvement leveraging a specific methodology such as LEAN, Six Sigma, orequivalent. Experience with strategic thinking, relationship management, situational assessment, problem solving andreporting. Shared services or corporate center experience. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the positionAppreciable change management experience. Experience with process optimization and end-to-end processes.Experience with performance management, developing and tracking KPIs. Ability to communicate effectively with alllevels in the organization. Understanding of the industry and industry best practices.
