JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
* This position may be filled as a HR Representative II or Sr. depending on qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Health and Welfare : Total Rewards Department : Administers Health and Welfare benefit programs. Oversees vendors in the governance, design and administration of all health and welfare programs, policies and procedures. Consults with management as necessary. Leads the overall support in area of expertise.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with planning, strategy and administration for Health and Welfare function : plan design changes, long term strategy, plan consolidation and administrative improvements.
Assists with daily administration of Health and Welfare programs which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, COBRA administration and voluntary benefit program administration. Coordinates and supports annual Open Enrollment process including development of communications. Assists with managing vendor administration/relationships and works with service providers and vendors, as well as Entergy IT throughout the year to support various programs. Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy and ensures vendors are meeting contractual obligations.
Coordinates required disclosures and general H and W plan employee education/communications as directed. Develops and revises HR administrative procedures and policies when applicable. Must be able to read, understand and interpret Plan Document terms for Entergy H and W plans and be able those terms to support accurate administration of the Plans.
Conducts training for HR Operations employees to ensure their ability to provide excellent customer support. Assists HR Operations and vendors with escalated/difficult participant issues. Provides oversight and guidance to HR Operations to ensure accurate and timely transmission of data to vendors. Assists with claims and appeals process.
Assists with Health and Welfare program governance including working with internal and external auditors, review of Form xxxxs, SOX testing, reviews 10K, 10Q, SAS :70, management representation letter, etc. Reviews and updates department procedures, SPDs, SMMs, etc. as needed to ensure legal compliance. Supports regular review and drafting of revisions to Plan Documents as necessary.
Performs compliance monitoring : development, maintenance, and correction support. Provides support to rate case testimony and handles Requests for information (RFIs) as needed. Supports bargaining contract negotiations as needed and coordinates required benefit changes as necessary. Supports M and A work as directed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelors Degree strongly preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or related field) or equivalent work experience. MBA or graduate level degree desired.
Minimum experience required of the position
HR II : 4:5 years of relevant HR experience with a bachelors degree; 8+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelors degree.
Sr HR : 6+ years of relevant HR experience with a bachelors degree; 10+ years of relevant HR experience without a bachelors degree.
