Performs the function of ensuring all revenues are accurately accounted for which includes entering data into a PC, recording, calculating and summarizing numbers and reviewing documents for proper completion. Performs variety of accounting, record keeping and clerical functions in the finance department and provides efficient, timely customer service to both external and internal customers. Essential Job Functions: Performs assigned audit functions asking questions regarding the various audit steps to understand underlying regulations, internal control procedures and the associated risk. Enters statistical information into the computer system. Generates and distributes various reports for the audited operations. Summarizes, calculates and records numbers on various documents. Reviews, reconciles and verifies documents for proper completion. Investigates any discrepancies identified while performing the above audits and issue exceptions to the departments involved. Elevates 'out of the ordinary issues' through the appropriate channels established for timely resolution. Inputs and reconciles cage checks issued to the Bank database. Prepares daily gaming revenue tax filing to the State. Performs W2G, xxxx-S and xxxx preparation, input and balancing. Participates as the Finance Representative in period end inventory counts of various controlled documents and casino gaming and non-gaming inventories. Subsequently performs reconciliations and investigates variances. Assists in retrieving and compiling documents for Louisiana State Police, Internal and External Auditors. Files documents as necessary. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job. Adheres to regulatory, departmental and property policies. Be flexible in working shifts, lunches and break times. Adhere to company polices and procedure. Education/Experience Preferred and Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent required, associate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred. Experience in casino gaming and non-gaming audit functions or operational areas preferred. A basic knowledge of internal control procedures and regulatory requirements of casino gaming and non-gaming operations preferred. Computer program skills preferred: Infinium, CMS (or similar casino system), SDS (Bally's Slot Data System), LMS (Lodging Management System) and other internal computer applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access database software preferred. Must possess Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to an ability to open, save, and close files, edit cells, use basic formulas, update links and enter data into existing spreadsheets. Proficiency with 10-Key by touch is required. Applicant should be customer service oriented with good communication skills and present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
